What is your favourite quote?
* The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change – Carl Rogers
What does yoga mean to you?
* To me, yoga is a sanctuary that I carry within, a place I return to whenever I feel unsteady. My practice keeps me grounded in the present moment, while also bringing a sense of lightness and ease. It serves as a reminder to be kind both to myself and to others. On the mat and especially off the mat.
What is the focus in your classes?
* In my classes, we focus on cultivating inner strength - physically, but more importantly, mentally. We begin with a pranayama (breathing practice), followed by creative, strong flows synchronized with the breath, and end with a restorative sequence. Each class is designed to balance body, mind, and soul. Students can expect to leave with a deeper sense of awareness and an increased confidence in their abilities.
What is your favourite Asana/yoga exercise?
* Ardha Purvottanasana (Reverse Table Top) is one of the postures that instantly lift my mood when teachers include it in their classes. I love the way it opens the shoulders and allows for a playful release of the head, inviting a shift in perspective by turning upside down.
What makes you happy?
* Connecting with others, walks/runs in the sun, long mornings in bed with coffee and a good book, hosting dinners with friends
